Earlier this spring I planted 2 clematis plants next to the fence in mygarden. They were both seedlings and I was certain that since I was buying seedlings they would flourish.  1 of the plants died shortly after I planted them, but the other plant seemed to thrive.  That is,until about a week ago...the remaining clematis plant has now changed to a strange light-green almost white color, and really doesn't look very happy.  I have tested my soil and the levels of Potasium, Nitrogen, and Phosphuros are all suffiecent, and the pH is around 7.0which is neutral.  I have posted a couple of pics of my little Clemmie.

Anyone that knows anything about gardening or specifically growing clematis please tell me if this is normal, or if I need to give Clemmie a little love and care...I'm afraid I'm a gardening retard and have at least 10 brownthumbs.

It boggles my mind how anyone would vote for this ammendment, but yesterday Idaho became one of the 8 states in our country to add wording to the state constitution banning gay marriage, and domestic partnerships. I don't even know what to say....I am saddened and angry. Why can't everyone see how fucking wrong this is!!!

The other day I was having a conversation with one of my classmates, Robert about my lasted term paper for Geology. I am writing about the Smoky Canyon Mine in southeast Idaho. We were having a nice discussion, when he asked me if I believed that Simplot should be allowed to expand the Smoky Canyon Mine? Of course not! I exclaimed, "They've already made a mess of the environment there, and they have no intention of cleaning it up before they move on to bigger area." and this is were our conversation became very amusing...
Robert: Bobbie, are you a democrat?
Bobbie: Yes, I am.
Robert: And what are you getting your degree in?
Bobbie: Geology
Robert: hmmm ok, but you realize that there's no such thing as a democrat Geologist don't you?
Bobbie: What the Hell are you talking about?
Robert: It's not possible for a Geologist to do their jobs & be a democrat, it'll never happen, sorry.
Bobbie: I think you're wrong, I think I can be a geologist and maintain my political views.
Robert: Hehe well, good luck with that!

When I came home and told Richard about the conversation, Richard agreed with Robert! Richard said, "You have to realize that if you work for many of the places that employ geologists, the Republicans are the ones that keep paychecks coming for those people."
My new mission is to prove that I can become a geologist and still maintain my some-what reasonable political views.
